Yambol is a regional center in South - East Bulgaria
as in the region 200,000 people live.
Yambol is situated on the two banks of river Tunja.
The favorable climatic and soil conditions in the
region give good possibilities for the development of
agriculture since ancient times.
The area has an advanced industry and agriculture.
The basic industrial sectors of the region are:
*Chemistry: Production of polyester fibers and textiles,
inorganic salts and components of chemical
processing - in "Yambolen" J.S.C. which possesses
the biggest capacity on the Balkan peninsula, the
only producer of which products have been exported
to more than 25 countries.
*Food-wine and tobacco industry: Some of the plants
in the town produce processed vegetables and fruit,
meet cans ("Yagoda" J.S.C.), raw meat and sausages
( "Mesokombinat" J.S.C.), milk and dairy products
( " Kabile - LB " J.S.C.), high-quality wines ( " Vinis "
J.S.C. and "Olt Cellar" Ltd.) tobacco products (Yambol
Bulgartabac J.S.C.)
*Machine-construction plants producers of agricultural
machines ( "Sila" J.S.C. ), hydraulic cylinders and
equipment ( "HES" J.S.C.), calibrated steels
( "Kalibrovani Izdelia" Ltd.), metaloceramics -
( " Metaloceramics " J.S.C. ).
The textile, dressmaking and tailoring establishments,
wood processing and furniture production are also
some branches of the industry.
Various technical, rubber and synthetic rubber products
and building raw materials are also developed in our
region.
The social infrastructure of municipality Yambol is also
of global vestment project.
